Despite the global economic recession, the third edition of the Dubai Helishow held in November 2008 drew an audience just over 2400 from 38 countries including delegations from Sharjah and Dubai Police Air Wings with the intention to buy helicopters, rescue equipment and secure training facilities. The show was officially opened by H.E Mohammed Ahli- Director General of Dubai Civil Aviation and Matthew Zuccaro, President of Helicopter Association International, H H Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan-founder Falcon Aviation Services, Colonel (pilot) Ali Mohammed Al Mazroui- Director Air wing Department, Abu Dhabi, Walter Visser,- Vice President and Managing Director- Emirates Flight Training were among the VIP guests.
